A 30 min weekly  introduction to dance including creative movement, songs and basic technique. Dancers are encouraged to take age appropriate dance instruction, understand concepts such as making a circle or a straight line, and co-operate with their peers. *Tiny Tots participate in our annual Christmas show and year end recital at the Westlock Cultural Arts Theater.

A stepping stone from “Tiny Tots”, however new students are welcome! Dancers participate in a Tap/Ballet combination class for 45 min per week. Students start class in their tap shoes for basic  instruction in rhythm, timing, and movement, then change into ballet shoes for pre-primary instruction, including dance songs.  *Predancers participate in our annual Christmas show and year end recital at the Westlock Cultural Arts Theater.

This 45 min Tap/Jazz/Ballet combination class is designed for your kindergarten student! Dancers will take instruction in Tap for the first half of class, and in Jazz or Ballet for the remainder of their lesson. This is a structured program with the focus on “fun learning”! *Kinderkids participate in our annual Christmas show and year end recital at the Westlock Cultural Arts Theater.

Dancers age 6 and up will learn body isolation’s, positions of the arms and feet, dance vocabulary and jazz dance steps. Classes will consist of stretching, strength exercises, center floor combinations and routines for performance. Dancers will participate in festivals, as well as our year end recital at The Cultural Arts Theatre.

Tap class for dancers age 6 and up will focus on the rhythm, footwork, and syncopation. Students will learn basic tap technique, progressive tap steps, and develop a broad awareness of music. Classes will consist of barre exercises, across the floor, and center work combining tap steps learned throughout the dance term. Dancers will participate in festivals, as well as our year end recital at The Cultural Arts Theatre.

Dancers age 6 and up will focus on body alignment and awareness with emphasis on proper usage of feet and legs and carriage of arms. Students will learn basic positions of the arms and feet, ballet vocabulary, beauty, flow and grace. Classes will consist of barre exercises, center floor work, and combinations of dance steps. Dancers will participate in festivals, as well as our year end recital at The Cultural Arts Theatre.

A combination of modern and classical, dancers must be registered in an intermediate Jazz and Ballet class in the current dance season.
